The ideal candidate is a senior sales executive who is passionate about online media and technology and possesses a demonstrated track record of successful six figure sales. This position is based in New York City. Candidates should have well-rounded, technically savvy and well-tested professional business skills in the enterprise SaaS platform industry and exceptional closing skills. You are an expert in the consultative sales style and understand that preparation, needs analysis, listening and a high level of service are the keys to winning business and creating lasting partnerships.
Work with CRO to define and develop new business targets for non-local broadcaster clients.
Create, implement and own a sales pipeline to manage customer lead intake, outbound activity, prioritization and measurement of deal status.
Proficiency in the following software programs: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver as well as Microsoft Office for Mac/PC, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Work directly with target clients to analyze challenges to existing workflows and provide strategic direction that includes company's products and services.
Up-sell / cross-sell products including End-to-End CMS, Video/Mobile Platforms, OTT platform and Studio Integration digital connectors, either as stand-alone products or as a single fully-integrated solution.
Continuously develop an extensive set of relationships at C-level, VP and Director levels across companies and across industry categories.
Function immediately as individual and contributor but able to help build out sales infrastructure to support rapid growth.
Travel when necessary to meet with potential clients.
Preferred Work Experience & Education:
10 + years in sales/business development with a proven track record developing and closing new business.
Deep knowledge of Video Content Management, Web Content Management, and/or legacy broadcast related systems.
Experience with a top-tier enterprise software or media-related solution provider(s).
Video Content Management experience working within the industries we are trying to expand to – Media companies (i.e. Discovery, ESPN Time, Showtime), Entertainment (i.e. Bravo, E), Magazine Publishers, Consumer Product Brands (GM, Nike) preferred.
The candidate must be highly motivated, extremely organized, team-oriented, creative, and possess outstanding negotiating skills.
B2B SaaS experience is a major plus.
Experience building and developing a list of highly visible accounts in respective territory.
Excellent written, oral communication and organizational skills.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals and quotas.
An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is a plus.
